Danial Sim

He turned Singapore’s daily commute into a collectible culture where nostalgia meets design. Danial Sim is the founder of Tap Space, a youth-led brand transforming everyday transport moments into lifestyle collectibles. From MRT keychains to bus diecasts, his creations bring a sense of humour, memory, and local identity to objects we often overlook.

More than a merch line, Tap Space is a love letter to Singapore’s transit culture, celebrating the little things that make up our daily ride.

As collecting shifts toward hyper-local and emotionally resonant designs, Danial is leading the charge. His inspiration comes from the world around him by watching rush hour crowds, listening to announcements, or noticing an old bus stop from his childhood.

The risk that changed everything? Leaving a stable path to bet on a niche idea. What started as a passion project became a growing brand and movement, proof that even the most ordinary commutes can lead to extraordinary destinations.
